A. How to install

1. Extract the application/game ZIP file into a temporary location on your hard drive.
2. Start the RIM Desktop Manager that was provided with your RIM device.
3. Choose Application Loader.
4. Choose Add Available Optional Applications and browse to the location of the unzipped files.
5. Select the Application_Name.alx file to begin the installation.
6. Launch Application!

B. How to uninstall

To uninstall the application/game, on your BlackBerry, in the main icon menu, select Options and then Applications. Select application/game and then the Delete menu item. In order to reinstall the application/game please first uninstall it and then follow the installation procedure.

C. Troubleshooting

Issue 1:  
I receive a message like "No additional applications designed for your handheld were found" or "No actions required"
First solution:  
For installing the application please unzip the received zipped file in a directory on your hard disk and not on the desktop. You should end up having a .cod file, a .alx file and this readme file.
Second solution (most probable):  
Your desktop PC does not have the wireless handheld software installed.
The Blackberry Desktop Manager alone is insufficient for installing third-party applications onto your BlackBerry as you also need a copy of the "handheld code", "handheld software" or "wireless handheld (software)" installed on your desktop computer. The handheld code is generally carrier-specific and we recommended that you visit your carrier's website to obtain the version optimized for your device. You can also download it from www.blackberry.com In order to install the handheld code on your desktop PC, please follow the carrier provided instructions. After installation make sure to reboot the desktop PC. From this moment on, any third-party software like Balloonz will install smoothly onto your handheld. Third solution:  
In the Desktop Manager's Application Loader, if Balloonz appears in the list of applications, even if it is unchecked, highlight it, click Delete, click Yes, click Next, then click Finish. The Application Loader will ensure that the prior product is completely and cleanly deinstalled. Now try to install the current version of Balloonz.

Issue 2:  
MyGames Mega Pack does not install on my BlackBerry
Solution:  
Step 1. On your PC unzip in a folder the zip file received from our distributors.
Step 2. You now should have 6 zip files one for each game in the suite.
From here you should repeat the steps for each of these 6 zip files
Step 3. Unzip the FishChain zip file in a directory on your computer
Step 4. You now should have again three files:
- FishChain.alx
- FishChain.cod
These two are the application files for the game FishChain.
- readme.htm which is the step-by-step install guide.
You can open it using any Internet browser like Internet Explorer or Firefox. The guide has a section intitled Installation which describes how you should proceed from here. The same information can be found in the "How to install" section of this page
